- Aryan (Nordic race) thought to be superior beings
- Jews made out to be universal scapegoats
- Originally Jews were sent to work camps to do manual labour
- July 1941 final solution= extermination of Jewish race a priority
- Carried out the Einsatzgruppen a special section of the S.S
- Shooting and burying them was not fast enough
- Gas Chamber becomes the popular
- Made famous places such as Auschwitz - about 2 million Jewish died
The Holocaust
- Holocaust prior to WWII was a term that referred to a burnt offering or destruction by fire
- The first reports to the west in Jan. 1942 when New York Times reported 100,000 Jews had been machine gunned in the Baltic States
- July 1944 Allies powers got their first eye witness accounts when the Soviets liberated a camp called Majdanek
- 1945 Auschwitz is discovered
- It is now believed up to 6 million Jewish people died during the Holocaust

Hitler created many laws that discriminated against Jews. He had them sent to camps. Firstly, working camps then death camps with an end goal to exterminate them. He truly has a large amount of hatred against Jews and they were put through Hell. He erased as many Jews as he could by using gas chambers because the original idea of shooting them was not fast enough.
